Some Years back Al-Mustapha had been convicted and sentenced to death for the
assassination of late Kudirat Abiola, wife of the winner of the June 12,
1993 presidential election.
But the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos ruled otherwise...
The court overturned the conviction of the lower court which sentenced
Al-Mustapha and his co-accused, Lateef Shofolahan, to death. They are both set free
